Max Dmg?
I see the term Max Dmg being used to describe certain purple, gold and green weapons.
What qualifies a weapons to be considered max damage? I have a gold longsword of defense, 16-28 or something like that. Does it actually say Max Dmg for the descripition? Sorry if this sounds newbish. |

Maximum damage varies depending upon weapon class:
Swords 15-22 Axes 6-28 Hammers 19-35 Bows 15-28 Wands/Staves 11-22 Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think those are the values. |

Max damage means it has the highest possible damage range for that weapon. For a sword it's 15-22 (so yours must be less than 16-28), hammer is 19-35, can't remember axe, bow is 15-28, and staves and wands are 11-22. Max damage can be true for any weapons at all, they don't have to be purple, gold, or green. And it is not part of the description.
There ya go. :P |

Check the trade forums for price checks/offers/etc. Something to remember about gold weapons, though...their value is almost entirely based upon the inherent mods on the item (e.g. +dmg% when health>50). The affixes are interchangeable using other upgrade pieces.

It would depend mostly on the type of weapon (some are more rare or popular), the permanent mod (not upgrades as much, as they can be changed), and the requirement (of course lower is better).
